MORE THAN TWO DECADES OF EXTENSIVE LITIGATION AND TRIAL EXPERIENCE
Tonyha Davies is a litigation paralegal in the Insurance Law Group and Casualty Group. She has over 22 years of extensive litigation and trial experience for both plaintiff and defense in a wide range of multi-million-dollar cases involving catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability as well professional liability defense, liability and property insurance, and bad faith.
Employed by Bullivant Houser Bailey since 2017, her experience is in all phases of the discovery process, motion practice, and assisting in numerous trials across Washington at both the state and federal level. She was the lead trial paralegal for a plaintiff who won a new trial on appeal of a case resulting in a significant verdict in his favor against an EIFS manufacturer and served as a lead trial paralegal for the defense in numerous multi-million dollar complex medical malpractice cases resulting in defense verdicts. Most recently, Tonyha assisted the firm’s Insurance Law Group in obtaining summary judgment dismissals in multiple COVID-19-related business interruption claims. Tonyha also serves as a liaison to the firm’s incoming associates in the Seattle office, providing training and practice tips for new practitioners. In addition, she has earned the Registered Paralegal (RP®) credential from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, has been a presenter at CLEs offered by the Washington State Paralegal Association on trial preparation, and has been invited to speak on the paralegal profession at local colleges in the South Puget Sound area.

Tonyha is a member of the Washington State Bar Association licensed to practice Family Law as a Limited Licensed Legal Technician and spends her spare time volunteering and fostering for a local non-profit canine rescue group.
