Bullivant Houser Bailey served as lead counsel in representing numerous pension and benefit plans seeking recovery for losses in what the SEC has called the largest investment manager fraud case in U.S. history.
Some 100,000 ERISA plan beneficiaries in all 50 states suffered loss with over $340 million at risk. We helped design the mediation process that has resulted in average recoveries of over 80% for our clients. We handled discovery and document management for over 100 attorneys and hundreds of parties in 22 lawsuits. We also represented over 120 trustees of Taft-Hartley trusts in six different participant class actions and 12 Department of Labor suits.
Our work on this case has been recognized by Of Counsel Magazine as “setting new standards for litigation practice,” with methods that “serve as a blueprint for proficient case management.”
