William Garms practices as an associate in Bullivant's Casualty Law Group. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Christopher A. Ramras of the Multnomah County Circuit Court where he worked closely with the judge on a wide variety of civil and criminal proceedings and trials. This experience has allowed Will to see the argument from both sides and taught him a great deal about effective courtroom practices. Additionally, Will was able to gain a unique understanding of the complicated organizational structure of the specific court system. This experience as a Judicial Clerk parallels the work he will do as a member of defense teams for Bullivant's clients.
During law school, Will served as an executive editor of the of the Lewis & Clark Law Review. He also gained valuable experience as a Legal Extern for the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office in the Misdemeanor Intake Unit and as a Law Clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice's Child Advocacy Section of the Civil Enforcement Division. These past work experiences have allowed Will to hone his ability to perform fast, on-the-spot research as well as more detailed and thorough examinations of legal authority.
