Wednesday, July 30, 2014
The American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section will honor Bullivant Houser Bailey PC attorney Ronald L. Richman with its Andrew C. Hecker Memorial Award.
The award, which recognizes the late Andrew C. Hecker of Philadelphia, is presented to those lawyers who have consistently demonstrated, and continue to demonstrate, the qualities of leadership, outreach, enthusiasm, professionalism and pride in TIPS and its accomplishments. The award will be presented at the ABA Annual Meeting in Boston on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. during the James K. Carroll Leadership & Awards Dinner at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
"During the 20-plus years that he has actively served TIPS, Ron Richman has devoted countless hours to innumerable Section activities, including training the general committee leaders who create the core value of TIPS membership, and as an enthusiastic leader of our membership and diversity efforts," said Eugene G. Beckham, Chair of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section.
"I have worked alongside Ron as a fellow lawyer, a member of TIPS and now in his role on the board of directors at Bullivant," said Loren Podwill, Bullivant president. "This is a great and well deserved honor for Ron and I join my fellow Bullivant lawyers, and the firm, in congratulating him."
Ron, a senior trial attorney with more than 28 years of experience, is a Shareholder and serves on the board of directors at Bullivant. He frequently litigates, arbitrates and mediates complex civil, commercial, general business and contract disputes in state and federal courts throughout California. In recognition of his skills in resolving complex litigation cases, Ron was nominated and appointed by the San Francisco Superior Court to serve as a panelist for the Court's Early Settlement Program. He was also selected for inclusion in Northern California Super Lawyers (2014, 2013 and 2010 — Business Litigation).
