Rip Caswell - Bronze Sculptor
Rip's path has always been guided by one purpose: to revitalize the bond between man, animal and the land. In 1992, he discovered the ideal medium for that purpose, the complex Lost Wax method of bronze sculpture, a labor intensive process that yields improbable delicateness from molten metal.
Rip captures life with uncanny realism, discovering essential details by immersing himself in his subjects (whether the habits and habitat of wildlife or the biography and community of people) and conveying this knowledge with consummate craftsmanship. Perhaps most importantly, he invests each sculpture with his own passion for living, that passion preserved in each piece to be continually rediscovered.
