Practice Experience

Joy Lee is a member of the firm's casualty litigation practice where she defends clients in complex civil litigation matters including personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, wrongful death, product liability, and catastrophic injury cases.

Joy received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Washington. During law school, Joy served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Joy's legal career started in Philadelphia and included working for the Philadelphia Law Department, Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, and a small civil defense firm representing municipal entities in tort litigation and workers' compensation claims. Having returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2013, Joy continued her litigation practice with an insurance defense firm in Seattle, working regularly with insurers and clients on a number of complex, personal injury cases and most recently, completed a jury trial under COVID-19 protocols.

Joy is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, checking out local new eats, and cooking and baking with her daughter.
