Practice Experience

Jean Kang is a member of the firm's casualty law group and has a breadth of civil litigation experience including insurance fraud, bad faith, wrongful death, E&O claims, personal injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Her practice is informed by her prior experiences as a senior associate at an insurance defense firm in Seattle and in-house counsel for major insurance companies.

Jean received her J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Washington. During law school, Jean served as President and Co-Founder of the Korean-American Law Student Association.

In addition to her practice, Jean serves as a Governor for District 7 South on the Board of Governors for the Washington State Bar Association. She is also involved in multiple leadership and diversity programs in the local legal community and serves as a pro tempore judge at Edmonds Municipal Court and King County District Court. She also serves as an arbitrator for the King County Arbitration Department.
