Practice Experience

Evie Winters is a litigator whose practice focuses on a variety of complex civil matters, including in the areas of product liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, commercial disputes, and wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. Evie has successfully represented prominent manufactures in litigation involving medical devices, firefighting equipment, and asbestos, as well as medical practitioners, healthcare companies, schools, religious institutions, and youth-serving organizations. Evie has experience in bench and jury trials, arbitrations, and appeals. Her practice spans state and federal courts in Washington and Oregon. She enjoys advising clients on all stages of litigation and on developing risk management strategies and practices to avoid and minimize claims and litigation.

Evie has been consistently recognized as a "Rising Star" in Oregon Super Lawyers and Washington Super Lawyers each year since 2012. She currently serves on Bullivant's Board of Directors.


Selected Representative Matters

  • Defended medical device manufacturer through eight week trial on product liability and Consumer Protection Act claims arising out of outbreak of alleged "Superbug."
  • Defended company through trial on toxic tort and premises liability claims.
  • Defended medical professionals and their practice through two week trial on medical negligence claims arising out of labor and delivery.
  • Defended company and individual employee through multiple trials arising from several wrongful death and injury lawsuits relating to crash of small aircraft.
  • Obtained summary judgment for medical practice on claims of alleged sexual abuse by former physician.
  • Defended attorney through trial in legal malpractice claims arising out of representation of clients in sale of multi-million dollar companies.
