Practice Experience

Adam Jones focuses his practice on insurance coverage counseling and litigation. He has been litigating cases across the country in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels for over twelve years. Adam represents foreign and domestic insurers concerning high-exposure environmental, mass tort, and construction coverage matters, as well as professional liability and first-party property claims. 

A member of the Oregon and Washington bars, Adam earned both his J.D. and his B.A. from the University of Iowa, graduating with distinction from the College of Law.

Representative Matters

  • Defended an insurer through trial in a matter involving the extent of UIM coverage under a commercial trucking policy to an incidental insured.
  • Represented a carrier in a first-party bad faith action relating to alleged damage to cloud storage and loss of data.
  • Provided coverage counseling to carriers on claims made under proprietary technology errors and omissions and professional liability policies.
  • Represented an insurer in a coverage suit involving a PRP at the Lower Fox River Superfund site.
  • Represented carriers in a state court coverage actions relating to insureds' asbestos liabilities and consulted with the carrier's bankruptcy counsel on insurance coverage issues raised by the insureds' 524(g) bankruptcy proceeding.
  • Represented an insurer through appeal in an environmental coverage matter regarding a successor entity's rights under policies issued to a predecessor.
  • Represented a carrier in a coverage action regarding whether an insured represented on a pro bono basis is entitled to reimbursement of defense costs under a general liability policy.
